Olivier Thévenaz is Senior Lecturer in Latin language and literature at the Institute of Classical Studies (IASA) of the University of Lausanne. As a member of the Interdisciplinary Center for Literary Studies (CIEL), he has a particular interest for comparative and reception studies. He is the author of a dissertation on “Sappho à Rome. Poétiques en échos de Catulle à Horace” (Lausanne, 2010), of various articles and collective publications. His research focuses on questions of Greek-Latin poetics and intertextuality, especially in the field of lyric poetry.
