Professor of Modern German Literature and Literary History at the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel. Sonja Klimek studied comparative literature, German and cultural studies at the University of Münster and at the University of Freiburg (Switzerland). From 2006 to 2010 she was an assistant for general literature of Professor Jürgen Söring at the University of Neuchâtel. In 2008 she received her doctorate there with the doctoral thesis «Paradoxical Narration. The Metalepse in the fantastic literature for a doctorate in philology». After that she was an assistant of Prof. Ralph Müller at the bilingual University of Freiburg (Switzerland). She was also a team member on the «Poetry in Notions» project in its early stages.
